What this wiki publishes under, how it uses third-party material, and how to report anything you think is wrong.
Our own content
Unless an individual page states otherwise, the wiki’s own original distilled prose — the article bodies, the worked summaries, the structuring prose — is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). You can find the legal text at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode.
What that means in practice:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon it for any purpose, even commercially.
- Credit — give appropriate credit to “Campaigning Wiki”, link to the licence, and indicate if you made changes.
- ShareAlike — if you remix or transform it, distribute your contributions under the same licence as the original.

A note on the
license:field in page frontmatter. Frontmatter records how the source an article is grounded in may be reused — it is not a statement about the wiki’s own output. See How we use sources below for what eachlicense:value means.
How we use sources
The wiki is a reader of sources, not a republisher. Our policy mirrors the
internal rule in CONVENTIONS.md (“Copyright / license rule”) and the
taxonomy in SOURCE_TAXONOMY.md (“Rights / license classes”):

When unsure, we treat a source as the most restrictive — link-only.
Ideas and theories are not copyrightable; expression is, which is why we
can summarise and paraphrase freely but never lift extended passages from
copyrighted work.
Every factual claim on a published article carries an inline [source: …]
marker that resolves to the underlying source. For tracing a claim to its
origin, open the source’s row in Wiki/sources/ and follow the link in
that record.
Images & media
Images on the wiki are self-hosted from Wikimedia Commons under free licences (Public Domain, CC0, CC-BY, CC-BY-SA, or CC-BY-NC). Each image shows its author, title, source URL, and licence on the page that uses it; nothing is hotlinked from external sites.
Videos are embedded as privacy-facade YouTube embeds — the thumbnail and play button load, but no third-party content (no YouTube script, no tracking pixel) is fetched until the reader actively clicks play. The facade checks for a valid 11-character video ID before rendering.

Wikipedia
Where the wiki draws on Wikipedia, we use facts and ideas paraphrased in our own words and link to the article. Verbatim text is never copied. Affected pages carry a note such as Source: Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 4.0 in their sources list.
Not legal advice
Pages on protest law, data protection, charity political-activity, and similar regulatory or compliance topics are general information — jurisdiction-tagged and dated so readers can see how fresh they are. They are starting points for your own research and not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction. Always check the current law in your country before acting on it.

If you are a rights-holder and something on the wiki is mis-attributed or shouldn’t be here, please get in touch at administrator@kampaspace.ch. We review rights complaints promptly and will remove or correct the material on confirmation.
