Google Cloud for Nonprofits

Summary

Google Cloud for Nonprofits provides $10,000 USD per year in Google Cloud credits (with an optional additional $3,000/year in Google Maps Platform credits) to validated nonprofits through the Google for Nonprofits gateway. The earlier “Free Tier only” claim in the updated directory is wrong — the standard offer is the $10k/yr credit grant. Eligibility follows Google for Nonprofits and therefore excludes political organisations and organisations whose primary purpose is influencing legislation.

Body

https://cloud.google.com/nonprofits/

Google Cloud for Nonprofits is one of the products unlocked through the Google for Nonprofits gateway: an organisation that has already validated through TechSoup / country partner can apply for the $10,000 USD per year in Google Cloud credits at cloud.google.com/nonprofits [source: google-cloud-nonprofits]. The standard credit amount is $10k/yr (not the historical “Free Tier only” claim that appeared in some secondary directories — that is incorrect; the program is a recurring annual credit grant, not just free-tier access) [source: google-cloud-nonprofits].

An optional additional $3,000/year in Google Maps Platform credits is also available for nonprofits building location-aware services [source: google-cloud-nonprofits].

Eligibility is the same as the parent gateway: 501(c)(3) in the US (and equivalents internationally), with the political-organisation / primary-purpose exclusion inherited from Google for Nonprofits [source: google-for-nonprofits][source: google-cloud-nonprofits]. A non-partisan charitable organisation that does some advocacy can qualify; a partisan/electoral or pure-lobbying org cannot.
